In the time of the Creation, the angel Tirael stood at the feet of the gods and tended the beasts and the flora of the primordial world, culling the sickly creatures and nurturing the hardy ones.  From the wild things she learned strength and ferocity, which served her well during the War of Wrath.  Brought down by the Host after she cast the loyalist herald Horadamon into oblivion, she was banished to the Abyss for millenia but ultimately returned to Earth by the sorceries of Moses Prescott, the Ministry of Light's Septimus of Greed.  The Septimi have allowed her to take a thrall on the condition that the thrall should also serve the Seat of Light as a Guardian.
The Hachidan Retributor for the Septimus of Greed Genus: Mortal -- Thrall
Little is known about the Hachidan, save that he is Thrall to the fallen angel Tirael, and that he was once an esteemed martial arts champion, a winner of several tournaments--weapon styles and unarmed styles alike--and a sensei of Kenjutsu before an automobile accident left him a paraplegic.  Suddenly bereft of his life's purpose, he sank deeper and deeper into despair...and it was this same despair which drew the demon Tirael to him like flies to rotting meat.  She removed his paralysis, vastly sharpened his senses and made his body stronger than ever, all in exchange for his lifelong servitude.  Thus, he now finds himself in a trying position, charged with the defense of both Tirael and the Seven Most Favored..
